About Us
FFE was founded in June of 2007 by eight Estes Valley Residents. Those women, Diane Collinet, Janelle Coop, Stacy Ferree, Tisha Goodemote, Kristen Hill, Kristen Owen, Sherami Paye and Jeanice Prohs, now serve as the group's facilitators.
FFE is a new organization in town that plans to be a voice for the young families of Estes Park in making the town a great place to raise kids. FFE plans to achieve its goals through positive communication and interactions in the community. They plan to be supportive and active with the existing organizations in bringing about changes for the kids.
The eight women who currently make up Families For Estes have their sights on several community improvements, such as: a new playground at Stanley Park, a new playground at the Marina, updated bathrooms at Stanley Park, a recreation center, and a zero-entry pool with water features at the Aquatic Center.
FFE has been working closely with the Park and Recs District, the School District and the Town to help makes these community improvements a reality.
